The WELL BUILT Way
Our Vision and Values
Our vision is to play a role in guiding great construction companies to change the building industry for good by improving their businesses and running projects as one team. The Well Built brand is synonymous with progress in the building industry.
We stand for positive change. That means we seek avenues of progress and replace antiquated industry norms with new methods that improve results for companies, customers, and employees. We believe in the power of relationships and empathy, and that people should do business with people they trust.
Our clients are bold and so are we. We believe the building industry improves when good companies raise the bar on the customer, vendor, and employee experience. We believe in the power of radical transparency to empower companies and employees to make better decisions about who to hire and where to work. We believe in industry involvement and giving without strings attached.
Our Team
Founder & CEO, Chad Prinkey
The moment I knew business consulting and coaching was my calling was the first time someone reached out to share the impact my advice had on them personally. In 2008, this long-time construction leader who had all the experience in the world attended a training session about business development. About 3 months later he told me, “I’ve been doing things the hard way for a long time. This stuff is changing my life!” I was hooked. The building industry is filled with the hardest working, no-BS people in our economy and I believe they deserve a better return on their time, money, and energy than they’re getting.
All through high school and college, I worked as a laborer for a self-performing residential contractor doing framing, concrete, masonry, and roofing. I learned how a building comes together, and I learned an awful lot about hard work, but I also learned that I’m not gifted as a technician. Ask my boss.
My gifts seem to be connecting with and moving people. I truly care about the people I work with. I care about their companies and their families too. There’s no faking that. I’m also very comfortable with uncomfortable situations and conversations. I’m not sure what that’s about, but that has helped me to get to the truth and develop business solutions where others get stuck. I’m also a natural and professional stage performer…long story…but that translates well to effective public speaking.
Somehow, I’ve been fortunate enough to surround myself exclusively with people I admire. The WELL BUILT team is so talented and kind, and our clients are the best kind of customers and friends you could imagine.
I believe our mission of creating positive change in the building industry keeps good companies and team members pouring in. Starting this business was a great idea, but growing it with our incredible team is the greatest experience of my life.
I live with my superhero wife and our 3 boys in Maryland. When I’m not hanging with them or the WELL BUILT crew, you’ll find me on a trout stream, ice rink, or golf course.

As a Senior Consultant with Well Built Construction Consulting, I bring a wealth of experience and relationships to our team. Building trusting relationships has been the basis of my success as an estimator, project manager, and business development executive for subcontracting and general contracting companies in the Washington, DC and Baltimore markets for over 40 years. Many of those relationships will last far beyond my working years.
I joined Well Built to be a part of a positive movement in the way the building industry functions and to help construction companies grow and prosper. I enjoy working with forward thinking people and the thrill of discovering new opportunities for success.
I live with Debbie, my wife, in the Annapolis area, where we are near family and the Chesapeake Bay. We love boating on the Bay, travel, and great food and wine.
Group Director, Matt Verderamo
My dad built houses, which, from an early age, gave me a deep appreciation for the Construction industry and the people in it. When I joined the industry after college, I excelled as a Project Manager and Estimator for a specialty subcontractor, eventually reaching Vice President, Preconstruction & Sales at 28-years-old while also getting my Master’s Degree in Construction Management part-time from Purdue University. I was fortunate to learn not just how to run projects, but how to build teams, culture, and a profitable construction business.
I joined Well Built because I believe in the mission: We stand to create positive change in the building industry. Construction is hard! And the people in it are some of the hardest workers out there. They deserve to have a job they love going to every day, and at Well Built, I get the chance to help make that happen.
I am happily married to my wife, Maria. We do not have kids, but we do have a dog that may as well be one named Hobbes. In my free time, you can find me resting, reading, hiking, walking, running, meditating, or doing yoga. I'm a mission-driven person who loves talking strategy, leadership, and philosophy. I believe mutually beneficial relationships are the secret to a fulfilling life, and if you believe the same, then I hope you'll reach out and we can get to know each other.

I bring over two decades worth of executive level, leadership experience where I have had the pleasure of leading small teams of 5 people to larger teams consisting of over 25 direct reports and 250 employees. I have spent the majority of my career in the service and construction industry and have worked with family-owned companies, start-ups, private equity and large corporations. Using skills that I have learned along the way, I enjoy team building, coaching and mentoring. Nothing is more satisfying than sitting with a team to uncover obstacles, developing strategic plans and seeing them implemented successfully.
I have experience building teams, P&L management, ROI analysis along with being able to help distressed companies across the country. I act as a change agent through root cause analysis while building trust with the teams I work with.
I joined Well Built because I saw the passion, commitment and focus they have for their clients and their employees. Not only does our Well Built team try to elevate and support one another, we take that into the field to help our clients elevate their level of play for their customers.
I reside near Cleveland, Ohio where I enjoy spending time with my 3 daughters. When not working, I am most likely watching sports, hanging out with my family or reading.

Throughout my career, I’ve managed diverse projects, from custom homes to large-scale commercial and multifamily developments. My hands-on experience includes project management, site supervision, and quality control. Beyond construction, I find fulfillment in coaching and mentoring others. Whether it’s guiding a new team member or helping someone achieve their goals, I thrive on seeing others succeed.
I made the decision to join Well Built because I hold the same values and believe in our vision to make the building industry the best it can possibly be. Our commitment to quality, integrity, and client satisfaction aligns perfectly with my own principles. As I continue my professional journey, I look forward to both contributing to the construction industry and helping the next generation become leaders. I believe that just as iron sharpens iron, our interactions with others shape us so I look forward to working with others every day.
I live with my wife, Caroline, in the small town of Celina, Texas about 40 miles north of Dallas. When I’m not working, you can usually find me outdoors in a hunting stand, a fishing boat, on a golf course, or at a concert with friends. I am also a sports fanatic and love to talk baseball and football, at both the college and professional level. Go Hogs!
