My dad built houses, which, from an early age, gave me a deep appreciation for the Construction industry and the people in it. When I joined the industry after college, I excelled as a Project Manager and Estimator for a specialty subcontractor, eventually reaching Vice President, Preconstruction & Sales at 28-years-old while also getting my Master’s Degree in Construction Management part-time from Purdue University. I was fortunate to learn not just how to run projects, but how to build teams, culture, and a profitable construction business.

I joined Well Built because I believe in the mission: We stand to create positive change in the building industry. Construction is hard! And the people in it are some of the hardest workers out there. They deserve to have a job they love going to every day, and at Well Built, I get the chance to help make that happen.

Why WELL BUILT Advisory Groups?

People learn best from people just like them. Ever been in a classroom being taught by someone who hasn’t been in your shoes? Annoying isn’t it? Learning from people who have been there and created success is the fastest and best way to learn.

Expert facilitation makes all the difference. Every group meeting has a clear structure and purpose, and members are expected to be “all in”.

True parity between members with no competitive overlap. You’ll join a group of actual peers you don’t need to explain your business to. We have local and national advisory groups organized by size and type of projects to fit your business.

Discussions about progress, not just profits. WELL BUILT Advisory Groups exist to help great construction companies lead change in their organizations and in the market.

What to expect?

Local groups meet 8X per year to discuss target projects and relationships, keep tabs on the latest news and trends, and help each other address current business challenges.

A secure online discussion and filesharing portal designed to keep the conversation going and capture your best ideas.

Progress meetings are held with your facilitator virtually to maintain the momentum you’re building along the way and gather feedback to help strengthen group meeting agendas.

Total confidentiality. All members are obligated to hold the information discussed completely private and any documentation is housed in a secure portal for members only.

100% facilitated experience. You have enough going on. Allow our team to manage every step of the experience.

As a Senior Consultant with Well Built Construction Consulting, I bring a wealth of experience and relationships to our team. Building trusting relationships has been the basis of my success as an estimator, project manager, and business development executive for subcontracting and general contracting companies in the Washington, DC and Baltimore markets for over 40 years. Many of those relationships will last far beyond my working years.

I joined Well Built to be a part of a positive movement in the way the building industry functions and to help construction companies grow and prosper. I enjoy working with forward thinking people and the thrill of discovering new opportunities for success.

I live with Debbie, my wife, in the Annapolis area, where we are near family and the Chesapeake Bay. We love boating on the Bay, travel, and great food and wine.
