Baltimore, MD (October 21, 2024) — Well Built Construction Consulting, a specialized firm serving general and special trade contracting companies in rising pursuit of the top 2% of the industry, today announces the appointment of Coty Fournier to their consulting team as a senior consultant in a merger of their respective consulting practices.

Bringing more than 30 years of experience in strategic growth initiatives, business development, complex design-build management, field operations and professional development of construction managers on both sides of the Project Owner/GC equation, Fournier adds significant depth of experiential insight, industry leadership and building knowledge to Well Built’s team and consulting operations.

Fournier began her construction management career as a Field Engineer with Turner Construction Company in Miami, Florida where she quickly progressed through a variety of assignments in field operations, project controls and estimating. She was then tapped to serve as Manager of Construction Administration for Blockbuster Video during the height of their retail chain development, where their 100-person team averaged one store opening every 14 hours across North America. Prompted by Blockbuster’s corporate relocation to Dallas, Fournier returned to general contracting as Vice President of Miller Construction Company, a highly prestigious design-build firm based in Fort Lauderdale, where she led business development and related preconstruction activities, was later promoted to Senior Vice President, served on their board of directors and purchased a minority stock position.

She later went on to co-found a boutique consulting firm that provided program management and owner’s representation services for the planning, design and construction of capital improvement projects for hospitals and other healthcare related providers across the Southeast U.S. Most recently, she founded and served as the CEO of Jobsite123.com, the construction industry’s first open access qualifications search engine, the technology of which was successfully acquired by Contractor’s Register and fully integrated into TheBlueBook.com in 2013 (now owned and operated by the Dodge Construction Network).

In addition to her long-term track record for success in senior executive and entrepreneurial roles, Fournier is well known as a prominent influencer and advocate for positive change in the construction industry, speaking and writing regularly on passionate areas of interest, including: the critical importance of field experience, the effective transfer of building knowledge, and effective transitioning from project-focused roles to company-focused roles. Her first book entitled Inside Commercial Construction’s MVPs was released to wide industry acclaim as the construction industry’s premiere voice on fast-track career development for construction managers and strategies for success in the executive ranks.
