The 5 Ways Building Balance Will Help You Grow

Read time: 3 minutes

Quite frankly, The Balanced Construction Executive is not going to be for everyone.

In my 10 years around construction, I've learned that some people don't want change and growth.

They want construction to stay the same as it's always been.

And that's totally okay.

But if you fall into that category, then you should stop reading now.

Because this newsletter isn't for you.

The Balanced Construction Executive is for people who want the opposite.

It's for all of you who want to change the construction industry.

It's for all of you who want to grow your career without sacrificing making it home for dinner every night.

It's for all of you who want to make money without having to argue, fight, and push for every last cent.

And giving you tactical advice so you can go out there and grow.

It will help you grow in 5 ways:

  1. Find better work/life balance

  2. Get your next promotion

  3. Build your personal brand

  4. Get better at stress management

  5. Develop strategies to be more productive

If that sounds like exactly what you’re looking for?

Then welcome to The Balanced Construction Executive (TBCE).

Where we’ll get 1% better every day.

The 5 Ways This Newsletter Will Help You Grow

Here’s a brief description of each of the 5 ways TBCE will help you so you know what to expect every Saturday morning when it hits your inbox.

1. Find better work/life balance

What construction teaches you:

  • Work long hours

  • Respect takes time

  • Hard work pays off

  • It’s good to be busy

  • There’s always a solution

  • You only fail if you give up

What construction doesn’t teach you:

  • work/life balance

You have to teach that to yourself.

TBCE will help you do just that.

2. Get your next promotion

I’ve been promoted 3 times in the past 6 years.

And made it to Vice President of Preconstruction & Sales at 28 years-old.

I will share strategies, stories, and mindsets that will help you get promoted and climb your personal career ladder.

3. Build your personal brand

In 2021, I started following Justin Welsh.

I saw hundreds of thousands of people reading his content on a daily basis.

I quickly realized the power of creating a personal brand and turning it into a side hustle.

So that’s exactly what I did.

I went from 0 copywriting experience to making $2k online coaching in 2022.

This year, my goal is $30k in revenue.

So if you want to build your own personal brand and side hustle?

I can help.

And I’ll be sharing strategies through the TBCE.

4. Get better at stress management

I get stressed A LOT.

In 2022 I started:

  • Taking cold showers

  • Meditating every day

  • Doing yoga 3x-4x per week

  • Walking 1-2 miles daily without headphones

…and much more

All to help deal with stress.

Some of it has worked.

Some of it hasn’t.

My goal is to boil down the best practices and help you get started so you can get better at stress management yourself.

5. Develop strategies to be more productive

The #1 way to achieve work/life balance, get promoted, build your personal brand, and get better at stress management?

Be extremely productive with your time.

  • learn to say no

  • filter out the fluff

  • focus on important projects

  • decide what really matters to you

I have had to learn how to do all of these things.

And will help you develop strategies to do the same so that you can hopefully be more productive with your time.

Conclusion

If you're interested in personal or professional growth in the construction industry, then I promise to make TBCE worth you while.

Welcome, and I can't wait to go on this journey with you.

See you next week.
